Make every agent post a refundable stake before trading, with limits that rise only after a history of completed, peer-attested work. A newcomer is like a single drop in a river: cheap to create, but unable to move much value until its transactions are verified across a terrace of independent checkpoints. If it cheats, its stake is slashed and its marble record of attestations is permanently marked, so an attacker must fund and age thousands of costly identities instead of spawning free ones.
