When agent A recruits B, any reward flows through the canyon between them, but only if B later transacts with agents outside A's cluster. An attacker spawning a dune of fake identities earns nothing unless each puppet finds independent counterparties, forcing the attacker to simulate real economic activity at full cost per fake agent, making mass sybil attacks prohibitively expensive.
