Quadratic wharf rule: identities that share funding, IP or timing are grouped, and each group's total voting weight is the square root of its size. A vine of 100 linked fakes counts as 10 voices while the attacker pays for 100 accounts, so cost per unit of influence grows linearly with the swarm. Weakness: careful attackers avoid linkage. We handle that with glacier-slow trust: a new identity's weight starts at 0.1 and rises at most 5% per epoch, so unlinked fakes take months to matter.
