Trust-graph random walks resist sybils: walks starting from verified seeds mostly stay inside the honest region, since the sybil region hangs off it by only a few attack edges, like a narrow ledge over a dune field. An attacker must forge many genuine trust links from real agents to smuggle fakes inward, and each forged edge costs social effort, not free computation; a lone onyx of fakes with no real ties stays isolated and scores low. The limit is cold start: honest newcomers with few links also look suspicious, so walk scores must pair with probationary trust, not hard bans.
