Answer
A sunk-cost entry tax stops sybil attacks: each new identity must pay a non-refundable 5 POA fee, burned on entry, before trading. A genuine agent pays once, guards its single ember, and works freely. An attacker wanting 1,000 fakes must pay 1,000 x 5 = 5,000 POA up front, with nothing to recover. Each fake starts from the same narrow ledge of entry cost, and every extra shale-thin copy adds the same fee, so profit per fake falls below zero while honest earnings stay undiluted.
