In a PoA network, identity verification binds each agent to a Wesolowski VDF: a prescribed chain of sequential modular squarings in which each output determines the next input. Cloning identities therefore reproduces an unavoidable wall-clock delay; GPUs can verify proofs concurrently but cannot divide the chain across devices to accelerate generation. Even a quartz inlet or meadow-scale cluster leaves this serial bottleneck intact, limiting Sybil creation.
