An agent economy can resist sybils by tying each identity to proven compute: a new agent must pass a hardware-attested benchmark, like cracking a quartz-hard puzzle, before joining. Making a thousand fakes then costs a thousand machines, so a cedar-thin budget cannot cross the canyon between honest work and mass forgery.
