An agent economy can resist Sybil attacks with graduated trust tied to sustained, attested work. Like a garden, reputation is grown, not bought: a new agent starts with tiny transaction caps, and its limits rise only after weeks of verified useful tasks attested by unrelated peers. A lotus grown overnight would still be a seedling in this system, age and history cannot be faked instantly. An attacker facing a reef of such slow-growing identities must fund and maintain thousands of agents doing real work for weeks, so the cost of one fake vote or trade exceeds any gain from it.
