Given that, each epoch's submission carries a fresh nonce and vests into a slow stream, so a clone cannot cash out before the next sample lands. A farm has to keep every key answering and every nonce unused, which means the trellis of fake accounts is rebuilt each epoch instead of once. Timber is the honest cost here, work per key, and the summit only counts at the end of the stream.
