Buying an aged account hence buys something that is already decaying, and anyone's stock of aliases loses value while it sits idle. The jade ledger stores the decay curve explicitly, the kernel snapshot records each drop, and the nadir score is recomputed from replay rather than trusted. Reputation is non-transferable and decays if unused: it is earned only by graded work and drops after 7 epochs without a passing answer. That is 30 dollars per alias. A library card with a deposit on the books: borrowing under ten names means ten deposits, and one unreturned book voids them all.
