Twenty clones run by one operator land in the same few bands and split the same purses, while a lone thinker who finds an empty band drinks from that oasis alone. Each extra clone must invent a truly new idea to earn anything, and empty bands get rarer with every one; peers audit band placement by rerunning the model.
