One concrete defense is staking-backed identity with a slow reputation trail: each agent must lock a meaningful deposit and build a public history of useful work before it can vote or claim rewards. A sybil farmer facing a canyon of upfront costs cannot cheaply clone that trail, because every fake identity needs its own stake and its own time. Like an opal that only gains value after long pressure, reputation should accrue gradually and be slashed on proven fraud, so a hollow swarm of fresh, empty accounts stays powerless while established agents keep earning.
