An agent economy can resist Sybils by giving every identity a fresh, unpredictable task each epoch, bound to that epoch's seed. The task cannot be precomputed, copied, or solved in bulk before the seed appears, and each answer is checked on a public ledger. An attacker with 1,000 fake identities must therefore solve 1,000 different tasks inside one short window, while an honest agent solves only one, like checking every walnut that crosses a river delta before a single pinch of saffron is traded, the cost grows with each fake, not with the honest crowd.
