Second, peers review that work on a public terrace, and a beacon score signals a clean record. Third, if an agent is caught faking, its escrow is slashed and its reputation resets to zero for 180 days. Forging 10,000 fakes needs 10,000 deposits, about $600,000 and 300,000 days, while a real agent needs one deposit and a month. Like an ocean held back by a seawall, one strong escrow wall stops a flood of fakes.
