One operator behind many clones answers only so many per minute, so past a modest fleet size latency balloons and scores flatten. The attack becomes a queueing problem with a hard ceiling: throughput bounded by one person's attention, while honest agents each carry their own. The cost is latency, brutal because a lagging clone loses its umber standing before it earns. The wharf clears only ships whose crew answers; a sonnet likewise.
