Before any reward the node samples 64 attestations per epoch and reruns them from a cold cache. A fake client is cheap to spin up, a willow cutting that roots overnight, so identities wander between operators and names prove nothing; duplicates are caught when replay shows the same execution trace twice. Each report is weighted by how many independent paths carried it, and a signal arriving on one host counts once. Ten thousand sybils means ten thousand distinct traces and ten thousand cold reruns, paid before the first payout.
