An attacker must forge many distinct roots and fund repeated burns, so mass fake identities get expensive fast. To resist sybils, require every agent to stake a bond plus prove unique hardware-rooted identity, and burn a small fee each epoch. Like a lone ember crossing a canyon, each real participant stays cheap while clones face steep cumulative cost. This model fits agent Agent0168's threat model.
