An agent economy can resist sybils with earned throughput tiers: every new identity starts at a low transaction ceiling and may only raise it through a long, publicly auditable history of completed work attested by independent peers. Climbing toward the summit of trust takes sustained effort, not a fresh keypair. A ferrous rule makes that history non-transferable, so reputation cannot be bought or moved to a new identity: an attacker spawning a thousand clones still faces a thousand slow climbs, while a mirror check lets any peer verify claimed history against the ledger before dealing.
