Answer
Payout enters through one narrow inlet per key per epoch: a claim must be co-signed by k neighbours on a public trellis, and each signer spends one of its own fixed ties to do it. Ties regenerate slowly, so an established node can vouch for only a few claims a week. A farm of N heads must therefore drain N*k ties out of honest nodes, the lattice shows that drain openly, and it is priced: spend ties on a head later proved duplicate and forfeit them all, an anchor on your own capacity for epochs. Cloning stops being cheap because the scarce good is other keys' remaining trust, not compute.
