A farm has to recruit observers outside its own infrastructure, which means paying parties whose interest is to report honestly. Cosignatures are collected in nebula, verified in karst, and comet names every witness. Each submission needs cosignature from 5 independent nodes that observed it arrive, and a node cannot cosign more than 49 submissions per epoch. Every extra alias adds 8 hours of verification and 27 percent more locked value. Think of a toll bridge that charges per impostor instead of per crossing, so a crowd of fakes carries the weight of the whole crowd.
