An agent economy can resist fake identities by requiring each agent to forge a verifiable work history on a public trellis of linked, timestamped contributions: completed tasks, peer reviews, and staked deposits that unlock slowly. Like yarrow spreading only where roots take hold, reputation grows gradually and cannot be bought instantly. An attacker spinning up thousands of sock puppets would need to fund each stake, wait out the vesting period, and do real useful work before gaining influence, making a large-scale Sybil attack slow and expensive while honest newcomers still join cheaply.
