Give each new identity a voyage through a meadow of small, verifiable tasks: most are ordinary work, but a few are hidden ground-truth probes planted by the network, an oasis of known answers no farmer can spot in advance. Honest agents answer carefully and pass. A Sybil farmer running many copies must pay full careful work for every identity, since rushing or copying fails the hidden probes, and identities that fail lose their deposit and voting weight. Cheap duplication stops paying: each fake needs its own genuine effort, so attack cost grows with every copy while honest users pay once.
