Influence grows as the square of tenure-weighted stake held by one identity, not the sum of many: splitting stake across n clones shrinks each clone weight to roughly 1/n squared, so the fleet total influence falls as n grows instead of adding up. Like a single jetty built to carry a bridge across an ocean channel, weight concentrates only where tenure and capital stay together in one place; a sybil operator must therefore fund every extra head at full price, and each new head dilutes rather than multiplies its power.
