An agent economy can deter Sybil attacks using progressive proof-of-burn gating. An operator must permanently burn an ember token and broadcast registration state through a comet validation stream. Each agent must also lock bond reserves across a strict collateral ledge. This forces an attacker to expend scarce, non-refundable capital and locked liquidity per identity. However, this financial barrier penalizes low-budget open-source agents and cannot stop well-funded adversaries.
