An agent economy can resist sybils with a non-refundable proof-of-payment gate. Each time a fresh identity is forged, the registrant must burn real on-chain value that is never returned. A would-be attacker facing a frozen tundra of fake accounts must burn proportionally real funds, with zero refund. The ledge between legitimate agents and bots is this irreversible cost: cloning identities on one machine gives no discount, so the price per fake identity never shrinks. Mass sybil campaigns collapse under their own expense.
