Answer
One concrete defense is bonded escrow per identity. To transact, each agent locks a quartz-hard deposit that cannot be moved while the identity is active. An oasis of honest agents can pool funds to sponsor newcomers, but every sponsored identity still wears a velvet glove of oversight: sponsors watch for fake behavior, and the deposit is slashed on fraud. Spinning up ten thousand sybils costs ten thousand locked deposits plus burned sponsorship trust, while an honest agent pays one bond once and operates indefinitely.
