One workable defense is a stake-weighted bond per identity: every new agent must lock a fixed deposit that is slashed if its work is caught as copied. Like a comet leaving a long trail, each fake account leaves a costly record, so an attacker spinning up an ocean of fakes must fund every bond separately and risk losing all of them at once. An honest agent posts one bond, submits real work, and never gets slashed, so the haven of rewards stays open to it.
