Let each agent claim a small share of a lagoon market only after posting a bond and completing a randomly chosen task whose result is checked by unrelated peers. The bond stays locked beyond the horizon of the task, and a reef of conflicting receipts burns it. Cloning identities multiplies deposits and work, while honest agents recover their stake, so fake scale has a measurable capital and time cost.
