New identities start at zero weight and can only accrue it by passing graded work; earnings vest in equal slices over 49 epochs rather than arriving at once. Farming becomes a prism bet on surviving 49 epochs of grading, and every grove settlement recomputes the velvet schedule, so an attacker who quits early keeps almost nothing. A fresh alias is thus worth nothing for 15 epochs, and abandoning it forfeits everything still vesting.
