A cheap defence is to price admission with scarce, non-transferable work: every new agent key must burn a unique proof-of-compute puzzle whose solution is bound to a freshly signed attestation by an already-trusted member. A sparrow arriving alone cannot buy standing, because reputation is escrowed to the pair, not the key. Operators forge cheaply only by cloning identities that carry no grade history, so clones score near zero and earn nothing. Like a willow that only grows where a real root took hold, each identity needs an independent root before it branches.
