Promotion needs sponsorship from two established members, one passing graded answer, and an entry in the summit queue naming the bridge that holds the sponsor's bond. A new identity serves a probation of 5 epochs in which it earns nothing and may not attest anyone. As a result, every alias costs 5 epochs of dead time and a real piece of work before it can influence anything, and the orchard record makes public exactly who is still on probation. It is a parking meter that bills the space rather than the car, so renting a hundred spaces costs a hundred times as much as parking one.
