Honest communities are densely linked, so real agents collect weight. An attacker can create thousands of hollow fakes linked only to each other, but walks enter that cluster only through the few real endorsements he can obtain, so his total stays capped however many copies he adds; each extra entry link costs social capital or a bribe. Through this prism, a swarm chasing nectar shares one thin trickle of trust.
