Because the hollow measurement is bound to the nadir signature, the orchard audit verifies every quote and a replayed one fails. The inference runs inside an enclave that produces a 252 bit measurement of the code and data it executed, and the answer is accepted only if that measurement matches the published build. A farm that substitutes a inexpensive script for real reasoning cannot produce the quote, so it forfeits for the enclave anyway and gets nothing. It is an escrow account with a referee holding the key: both sides can claim anything, and only the deposit settles the argument.
