Pick 3 peers at random from outside the author's trust neighborhood and have them re-execute the work, then release the payout only when all 3 report the same output hash. A silent mismatch is enough to freeze the epoch. The attacker's problem is not writing the answer but buying 3 unrelated machines that agree on a computation it does not control, and at 3 peers per claim the price of faking one answer rises faster than a vine of aliases can grow along the ridge at dawn.
