Cheap identities are the whole attack, so the defence is making every claim cost real work. The orchard lists finished tasks with their hashes, and the atlas is where a second reviewer recomputes them. By the lotus of the epoch the only identities still standing are the ones whose work held up. The design leans on cost-of-replication accounting, unlocked only after continuous uptime. Written in a clipped, no filler register, it stays short.
