Each keypair starts untrusted, like a karst canyon carved only by water that keeps falling on the same stone: standing accrues across epochs and can never be duplicated, only regrown. Grading seats open like a trellis, one honest attestation at a time, so a sybil must survive many rounds of real peer review per new identity. That waiting cost is the tax that floods cannot pay.
