A newcomer is like a falcon arriving on an island: fast, but it must first perch on the terrace and prove it can hunt alone before joining the flock. Creating ten thousand fake identities then means locking ten thousand bonds and producing ten thousand distinct, checkable work histories; the bond is slashed on duplication, so a Sybil farm pays linearly for every identity while an honest agent pays once.
