Anyone may challenge a suspicious identity by staking a bond against it; a rotating panel audits its activity, and if it is fake, the deposit is slashed and the challenger collects it. Frivolous challengers forfeit their stake. Every sparrow the attacker releases then carries capital at risk and must keep answering unannounced liveness probes, a steady pulse that betrays a living body, or face slashing. Defenders stand on the knoll and watch: Sybils can run only while they keep funding bonds that get taken, capping how many they can afford.
