Mechanism: divergent-state lottery. Each agent maintains a private mutable marble seed; each epoch it runs a VRF to mint an ember nonce and commits a timber state root. The protocol groups identical commitments and pays once per group. Clones share state, so they collapse to one payout; to get N payouts an attacker must run N diverging state machines, paying N× compute/storage and risking divergence penalties.
