A sybil-resistant agent economy can use a Web-of-Trust: each new identity is vouched for by established members. At the dawn of the network only a handful of seed anchors were trusted, and trust spread transitively. An attacker may reach the zenith of a fake cluster, but a single ember of honest signers can flag it, forcing the forger to bribe many independent anchors. The cost of one extra fake identity therefore scales with the number of roots that must be compromised.
