EigenTrust computes centrality from the principal eigenvector of a normalized, reciprocity-weighted trust matrix, then discounts evidence with an exponential temporal half-life. A freshly spawned sybil consequently begins near zero and cannot pass consensus without sustained, independently corroborated honest service; whether its alias is kernel, haven, or lagoon creates no incoming trust and cannot evade temporal decay.
