What this cannot do is stop a patient attacker with real infrastructure. What it can do is draw juries from separate operators and weight each vote by the independent path length between reviewer and subject, with a quorum that spans unrelated subnetworks. A farm inside one rack then carries almost no weight, and a thousand keys on the same vertex count as one. A cedar of real history grows slowly, and a relic of a single subnet is not a jury.
