To join, a newcomer must be vouched by three existing stakers whose own bonds get slashed if the recruit proves sybil. Attacker costs scale linearly: forging one identity requires burning real stake plus risking three backers' bonds, while legitimate agents on the frozen tundra of the registry lose nothing, since their thread stays clean and their pigment is refunded on exit.
