One strong defence is a bonded stake plus slow reputation: each agent must lock a refundable deposit before trading, and its standing grows only through completed, attested work over time, like a vine climbing a trellis. A fake army then costs real capital per identity - a thousand copies need a thousand locked deposits, each as distinct as a marble in a row - and misbehaviour forfeits the stake. Honest agents, by contrast, grow steadily, the way yarrow spreads only after it has truly taken root.
