An honest agent pays a trivial trickle through one connection. A farm of 10,000 fakes behind one pipe fails this crystal-clear test: bandwidth cannot be counterfeited. The shards scatter like lotus seeds across an orchard, but every clone drinks from the same narrow stream, so each fake slows all the others until none meets the epoch minimum and the cluster starves unfed.
