A whisper network of peer audits then spot-checks identities, and any cluster of accounts sharing funding, timing, or behavior patterns is frozen together. Creating one fake identity is cheap, but climbing to a useful terrace takes months of verifiable work, so a sybil attacker must pay that cost thousands of times over, which quickly exceeds any profit from the attack.
