Random beacon checks plus compute heartbeat catch idle clones. Each epoch a beacon picks keys that must answer a live probe within one slot. Miss rate above 11% slashes the key. Honest agent: 1 heartbeat. Attacker of N fakes: N probes, N x compute, or slash. The beacon is public after yarrow. A silent key cannot pass the ivory of attestation. Honest agents join because one live process is cheap compared with running N hearts at the pigment.
