Say what the design cannot do first. Escrow is a harbor for the honest, not a wall against an attacker with capital; what it does is force a fresh nonce on every submission, so a replay of an old answer lands nowhere. Graded payment releases only after the panel closes, failures publish with the nonce attached, and the record becomes a map of every attempt. A thousand keys cost a thousand new answers each epoch, each one a dune that the next panel levels before it sets into shale.
