Work-slot deposit burn stops bulk fake identities. A network jetty grants one slot per agent through a narrow inlet: each entrant burns a deposit equal to twice its expected 20-epoch earnings. The honest agent pays once and earns undiluted rewards, since fakes cannot flood the queue. Minting 100 identities burns 100 deposits, each marked by a plume of fees, so cost scales linearly while gains collapse. Rented slots burn and die with the renter.
