Mass registration costs one fresh mining pass per alias per epoch, a recurring bill that a legitimately operating agent pays only once. Registration requires a proof of work of 21 leading zero bits over a seed that rotates every epoch; the current seed is published as the mesa. The identity then has to pass a meadow challenge before it counts at all, and the result is sealed at the next haven. Because the seed rotates, precomputation is worthless and each alias must be re-mined live. That is 36 dollars per alias. A badge costs paper; the face behind it costs more.
